📋 1. Overview

JLS Express ("we," "our," or "us") operates the JLS Express mobile application available on iOS and Android. We provide parcel and cargo shipping services between South Korea and Cambodia, including real-time shipment tracking, delivery-to-door services, an in-app wallet, invoice management, and customer support.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our app, how we use it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over your data. By registering an account or using our services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Who This Applies To This policy applies to all users of the JLS Express mobile application (Android & iOS), including individual customers, pick-up agents, warehouse staff, and any other role accessing the app.

4.1 Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating our services — including cloud hosting (Microsoft Azure), push notification delivery (Firebase), and payment processing. These providers access personal data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by data protection obligations.

4.2 Delivery Partners

To fulfill delivery-to-door orders, we share your name, phone number, and delivery address with local delivery partners in Cambodia as necessary to complete your shipment.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of JLS Express, our users, or others.

4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

No Selling of Data We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes.

Your data is stored on servers hosted on Microsoft Azure (jls-express.azurewebsites.net). Data may be processed in regions covered by Azure's data center infrastructure.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 9).

We send notifications about your shipment status, payment receipts, new promotions, and important service updates through:

You can manage push notification preferences in your device settings at any time. Telegram notifications can be unlinked directly within the app (Profile → Settings).

Optional Integration Linking your Telegram account is completely optional. You can use JLS Express without connecting to Telegram.

💳 7. Wallet & Payments

JLS Express provides an in-app wallet allowing you to store a balance, make payments for shipping services, and view transaction history. The wallet is protected by a PIN code and an optional secret word for recovery.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

9.1 Access & Correction

You can view and update your personal information at any time via the app (Profile → Update Profile). This includes your name, phone number, email, and profile photo.

9.2 Change Phone Number

You may change your registered phone number through the app (Profile → Change Phone Number). A verification code will be sent to confirm the new number.

9.3 Delete Your Account

You may request account deletion directly within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., financial records).

9.4 Notification Preferences

You can opt out of push notifications through your device settings (iOS/Android). Telegram notification links can be removed within the app.

9.5 Data Portability

To request a copy of your personal data in a portable format, please contact us at the address provided in Section 12.

Note on Prohibited Items JLS Express does not ship counterfeit/branded goods, fresh produce, live animals, or electronic cigarettes. Submitting false cargo declarations may result in account suspension and legal action.

JLS Express is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:
